Dr. Greenleaf’s research interests are on the sociology of law, police behavior, interpersonal violence, and comparative criminology. Prior to receiving his Ph.D., he was a patrol sergeant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has been an invited speaker at numerous universities throughout the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan (ROC) including Peking University School of Law, Hunan University Law School, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and National Taipei University. Greenleaf previously served on the faculty of Loyola University Chicago, California State University Fresno, Western Oregon University, and the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. His past research has been published in Criminology, Justice Quarterly, Journal of Research in Crime & Delinquency, Victims & Offenders, Journal of Criminal Justice, Asian Journal of Criminology, International Journal of Offender Therapy & Comparative Criminology and the International Journal of Law, Crime and Justice. Dr. Greenleaf is Professor Emeritus of Criminal Justice at Elmhurst University. He was born and raised in the city of New York.
