The Catholic Studies Graduate Program at the University of St. Thomas is the oldest and largest of its kind. And courses are available in-person, coflex and hyflex.
Like our in-person master's degree experience, participating online is still timeless, authentic, deep, and joyful. It is a transformative opportunity to engage with the Catholic faith intellectually, while enriching your life, work, and sense of purpose.
Courses available in online modalities include:
- Augustine's Confessions (coflex, hyflex)
- Augustine's City of God (coflex, hyflex)
- Dante's Divine Comedy (coflex, hyflex)
- The Story of Catholic Education (hyflex)
- Science and Catholicism (coflex, hyflex)
- Catholic Thought and Culture I (hyflex)
- Essentials of the Catholic Faith (hyflex)
- Shakespeare's Christian Imagination (coflex)
- Catholic Thought and Culture II (hyflex)
- Thomas More (coflex, hyflex)
Informed by a belief in the unity of knowledge, we bring multiple disciplines - theology, philosophy, history, literature, science, and art - into every course. Your journey may take you to the apse mosaic in Rome's San Clemente church one week and to the pages of Dante's Divine Comedy the next, revealing how Christ is in the wisdom we seek, in the work you choose, and in the actions you take.
Our world-class faculty help students see how the reality and gift of Christ hold profound meaning in every aspect of the human experience. Because of this, our online students come from many walks of life. They are teachers, doctors, businesspeople, parents, empty-nesters, and those exploring their vocation. Some are pursuing a career within the Church or preparing for doctoral studies, while others are simply exploring their faith in a rigorous and supportive academic environment. They all find that gaining a deeper understanding of the Catholic tradition helps them grow in knowledge and purpose.
Tuition per course for the Catholic Studies Graduate Program is $1,932 ($644 per credit).
Other costs to consider include:
- A technology fee each semester
