Professor C is the moniker of composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and music educator Brian Casey.

Since landing his first national ad placement as a 19-year old college student, Brian has been composing, producing, and collaborating to create music for all varieties of media ever since. A recipient of the ASCAP TV and Film award for the theme to Discovery’s “Alaska: The Last Frontier”, Brian’s compositions have been placed tens of thousands of times on television shows, films, promos, trailers, and advertisements thousands of times over the past 20 years.

As an artist he has released music in several collaborative projects including the spacious art-pop band Glorious Monster, dance act Man is Doomed, synth-rockers Blue Blazer, yacht-pop group Dek Shüz, his psychedelic rock releases as BC the Destroyer, and most recently the progressive funk pop band HUES. He has also worked as a producer and mix engineer on several up and coming artist’s albums including Becky Shaheen, Laura Lou, and The Twins of Franklin. Brian has also collaborated on various projects with artists such as Aby Wolf, Brianna Kocka, Chris Koza, Emmanuel Duncan (a.k.a.) Envy, Doug Otto, and Mike Schwandt.

Brian also works as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas where he teaches song-writing, composition, contemporary pop theory, and music media. Brian finds joy in both the creative process of making his own music, but also the engagement and interaction with his students. He believes that compelling and effective art is the result of the energy cultivated in creativity, experimentation, and collaboration.
