Dr. Fort started at St. Thomas in 2010 and specializes in organic chemistry. He has a passion for discovering and sharing how chemistry affects our daily life.

Professional Interests
Research in the Fort lab focuses on the synthesis and reactivity of unique aromatic systems. Our projects aim to rationally design structures that have new and interesting properties by combining computational chemistry with organic synthesis. Much of our previous work has focused on electronic materials; however, recently we have expanded our techniques into the synthesis bio-sourced polymers and ionic materials.
