Chia Lee Xiong '13
Chia graduated from the University of St. Thomas in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and a minor in Community Health Education, a combination of passions that allowed her to integrate health data into her GIS projects. During her time at St.Thomas, Chia also worked as a GIS Intern at the Parks and Trails Council of MN. After graduating, Chia pursued a Master of Public Health Degree in Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. When she returned to Minnesota, she worked for several years on the Community Engagement team at Three Rivers Park District, where she connected diverse communities to the outdoors. Currently, Chia leads youth-focused research and data projects in her role as a Data, Evaluation and YPAR Coordinator for the Brooklyn Bridge Alliance for Youth in Brooklyn Park, MN. Chia also sits on the Board of the Parks and Trails Councils.
