Angela Mitchell is the director of choirs at Stillwater Area High School and conducts Donne Unite at the University of St. Thomas. Ms. Mitchell's teaching has included extensive work with both boys and girls changing voices at all levels of vocal development. Under her direction, Stillwater Area High School choirs have performed at "From the Top” with Christopher O’Reilly, the Minnesota Music Educators Convention, Minnesota America Choral Directors conventions, the North Central American Choral Directors Conventions and the Minnesota’s Choral Arts Finale. Her ensembles consistently receive Superior ratings and Best of Site awards at the Minnesota State High School League's vocal contests each spring.
Her success has come from a passion for helping all students find their voices. Developing a love of singing and creating the highest possible musical product is what drives her work. In addition to her work with Stillwater Area High School and The University of St. Thomas, Angela frequently appears as a guest clinician for choral festivals throughout the state. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the Minnesota Music Educators Association and the Voice Care Network.
