Captain Corcoran is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Operations Flight Commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 410, at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She is responsible for recruiting, educating, and training students from among sixteen universities and colleges for commissioning into the United States Air Force as second lieutenants.
Captain Corcoran earned her commission through AFROTC Det 645 at The Ohio State University in May 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. After completing ICBM Operations Training at Vandenberg AFB, California, her first assignment was to the 741st Missile Squadron, 91st Operations Group, 91st Missile Wing at Minot AFB, North Dakota. She served as Missile Combat Crew Deputy, Squadron Command Post Officer in Charge, Mission Lead Combat Crew Commander, and Assistant Flight Commander. During this time, she also completed her Masters of Business Administration online at Liberty University.
Afterwards, she served as an ICBM Evaluator and Instructor at the 341st Operations Group, Malmstrom AFB, Montana as she conducted launch control and missile procedures simulator evaluations and taught in trainer rides. She finished her assignment at Malmstrom AFB being a Flight Commander for the 12th Missile Squadron where she commanded 15 missile crew officers to ensure the wing maintains combat capable and unit readiness warfighters.
