Keynote Speaker: Dr. Kurt Kipfmueller
Dr. Kipfmueller is an Associate Professor of Geography, Environment and Society at the University of Minnesota. He studies the history of past fire and the relative roles of people and climate in Great Lakes red pine forests.
Dr. Kipfmueller will be discussing his recent research on the human modification of pine forests in the Boundary Waters.
