Initiatives of the CAS Strategic Plan

Fundraise for Scholarships

The college will focus fundraising efforts on targeted scholarships for students.

Why Is This Important?

Externally funded scholarships for students directly address gaps in the abilities of students to pay for attendance at St. Thomas and offset financial aid that the university provides, thus addressing operating budget needs. Scholarships specific to CAS students will contribute to the overall university priorities, while also directly impacting enrollment and retention of students in CAS programs.

What Does Success Look Like?

The college will see an increased number of CAS students supported by scholarships.

First-Year Goals

  1. Complete evaluation of current CAS scholarships and develop priority list for fundraising.
  2. Successfully raise at least $100K.
