Part of the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutger’s University, Ready to Run® is a national network of non-partisan campaign training programs committed to electing more women to public office. Ready to Run programming focuses on the election process and provides opportunities for women interested in politics to gain experience with the political process.

Virtual Training

Ready to Run trainings are designed to encourage women to run for office, work on campaigns, or increase their own political participation. In these free Friday sessions, you’ll learn the nuts and bolts of organizing a campaign, including raising money, navigating political parties, crafting a message and working with the media. This session will provide practical tips for looking and sounding your best on camera, hosting a professional virtual event and adjusting your presentation style based on the event (town hall vs. donor meet-up, for example), and effectively engaging and connecting with your audience even from a remote distance.
