The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to study Orff Schulwerk for music educators in U.S. schools who, through either lived or practical experience, work for a more socially just music education. The Scholarship will cover the tuition for a 3-credit Orff Level (I, II, or III).

- Essay (500 word maximum) – please address the following two questions:
- "How do you believe Orff Schulwerk study will enhance your teaching and the music education of your students?"
- "Please share how you will utilize your Orff Schulwerk studies to advance music education within diverse and underserved communities."
- Applications will be reviewed by Dr. Karen Howard, in consultation with the scholarship committee.
- Please submit resume and essay to Dr. Karen Howard at karen.howard@stthomas.edu
- Applications must be received by May 1 for Summer consideration.
